The Signal Just Got Stronger

We are thrilled to announce that DigitalAbode has been successfully selected to participate in the prestigious iHatch Cohort 5 Programme.

Following a rigorous evaluation and validation process, our hub has been identified as a key ecosystem player with the capacity and commitment to incubate and support startups within our region. This selection places DigitalAbode within a nationwide network of 37 innovation hubs across all 36 states and the FCT, working collectively to strengthen Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem.

What is iHatch?

The iHatch Programme is a strategic initiative aimed at building a stronger, more connected innovation ecosystem across Nigeria. Organized by NITDA (National Information Technology Development Agency) in partnership with the Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation (ONDI), JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), and the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, it focuses on a hub-first model.

This means hubs like DigitalAbode are trained ahead of startup incubation to ensure effective delivery and impact.

What This Means for DigitalAbode

Our participation in iHatch Cohort 5 positions us to:

1. Receive structured training in startup incubation, ecosystem building, and programme management.
2. Participate in a 5-month hub capacity building programme, including virtual sessions and a physical residency.
3. Be responsible for the incubation and support of assigned startups within our ecosystem.
4. Qualify for certification based on performance and engagement.

Our Commitment to Delta State

DigitalAbode has always been about more than just providing a space to work. We are about building the outcomes that matter. Being selected for iHatch Cohort 5 is a validation of our vision to make Asaba and Delta State a leading frontier for tech and AI engineering in Nigeria.

As part of this cohort, we will be intensifying our efforts to support local founders, provide world-class mentorship, and bridge the gap between idea and execution.

Next Steps

Over the coming months, our team will undergo intensive training and residency programmes. Following this, we will be opening doors for startups within the Delta State ecosystem to join our incubation cycles under the iHatch framework.
